I love a good dress. I love a good print. And I also need to have a creative outlet so that my soul can breathe—it's my self care. So I made a rule for myself that if I see a dress that I want, but that I think I can make, I can't buy it. In order to fill my closet, I must fill my to-do list 🙃⁣⁣

And, yeah, adding something new to my ever-growing to-do list may sound overwhelming, but sewing actually helps me manage stress and anxiety. Going step by step, and making something from scratch is therapeutic for me.⁣⁣

Large gatherings often give me anxiety, so when I decided to marry someone with a huge family and I realized that that automatically meant a big wedding, I threw my energy into making all of my bridesmaid dresses from scratch. We got married on Kauai, so I chose a tropical 1950's vibe, and let my bridesmaids chose their dress silhouette. They turned out...well...😍

They looked AMAZING during the ceremony, but these dresses also HELD UP through one of the wildest, muddiest dance parties ever (appropriate photos selected)⁣...⁣
