100% of Profits Going to Afghan Families

When we founded MiliMili we made it our mission to help parents provide the best for their children, without losing a part of themselves in the process.

The mothers in Afghanistan right now are not losing just a part of themselves, but all of themselves. Their freedoms, their dreams, their communities, their lives. Even their children. 

We needed to help.

So we will be donating 100% of profits from today and tomorrow's (8/21/21-8/22/21) sales to Miry's List and their efforts to help Afghan families resettling in the United States get back on their feet. 

Miry's List is a local, Los Angeles-based non profit dedicated to welcoming new arrival refugee families into our community through inspired crowdsourcing solutions. They have set up a separate emergency action fund just to help Afghan families during this incredibly tumultuous and scary time. 

They provide supplies, devices, and educational opportunity for the children resettling in the US, and so far in 2021 Miry's List has helped over 100 families - made up of 560 individual people (and 56 babies!) from Afghanistan, living in 21 states nationally.

As parents in such a privileged state here in the US we cannot imagine what these families are going through. Our hearts hurt for them, and we cannot help but cry as we watch the images of Afghan parents lifting their children up over the wall into the hands of foreign soldiers in hopes they can help them. And we know even for those that are able to escape Afghanistan, the road ahead as a refugee is an incredibly difficult one.
