How to convert your face mask into an over-the-ear style

.
Have one of our super comfortable and colorful face masks, but prefer the style that goes behind your ears? It's easy peasy to make the switch - just follow these simple steps.
.
face mask hack: what you'll need - a milimili face mask, scissors, straps, and a safety pin
.
What you'll need:
- 2 Straps (we took ours from a disposable mask)
- Scissors
- Safety Pin
.
face mask hack, first: cut your straps
.
First step: Snip off your straps from your disposable mask (or cut two pieces of elastic or string)
.
face mask hack: pull existing straps through strap tunnels on either side of mask to remove the straps.
.
Second, remove your existing straps by pulling them through the strap tunnels on either side of the mask.
.
face mask hack: slide a safety pin through the new strap, and push the safety pin + strap through the strap tunnel
.
Next up - pop a safety pin through the end of your new mask strap, close it, and guide it through the mask strap tunnels until strap comes out on other end. Remove the safety pin, tie the ends together, and repeat on other side.
.
face mask hack: last step - tie the ends of each strap together to create ear loops
.
(You may need to untie the ends and adjust to make sure it has the right fit on your face.)
.
face mask hack: elastic too short? you can repurpose your original strap by just cutting it into two pieces, following the previous instructions, and tying it off in bows.
.
What if you find the elastic straps to be uncomfortable and need something that doesn't pull, or that is a bit longer? You can use your old strap from the mask!
All you need to do is cut it in half, run each half back through a strap tunnel, and tie it in bows.
Note: you'll want to make sure the bows are fairly tight so the mask still fits your face well
.
face mask hack: et voila - what it looks like when completed
.
face mask hack instructions: remove existing strap from mask, cut elastic straps of disposable mask, slide a safety pin through each of the elastic straps, and run it through the strap tunnel on either side of the mask until it comes out the other end. Remove safety pin and tie of strap. Repeat on other side.
